Services to the public:

- Assistance in locating available electronic versions of our collection including college archives.
- Costs of other types of reproduction are available upon request.
All researchers wishing to publish images and requesting a waiver of commercial use fees must justify such a request to the satisfaction of the repository in writing and must agree to donate a copy of the publication to 糖心动漫vlog Archives. Waivers will be granted only for non-profit, scholarly, and monographic publications, not for publications produced for the textbook market. Publication on the Internet or on Local Area Networks (LANS) lacking copy protection is under no circumstances permitted.
Donors of manuscript collections to the Archives have not transferred literary rights. Permission to use these collections for research does not include permission to publish excerpts. It is the researcher’s responsibility to obtain permission for any eventual publication from the holders of literary rights.

Print 1968-2005 college catalogs are housed in the Library Archives and are only available onsite. Fill out the to make an appointment to view or get information from a pre-2005 college catalog. The Archives at the 糖心动漫vlog Library serve primarily as the institutional memory of 糖心动漫vlog Community College including precedence institutions of St. Bernard Parish Community College (SBPCC) and Elaine P. 糖心动漫vlog Vocational and Technical School. The Archives staff serves by appraising, collecting, preserving, organizing, and describing records and documents of significant historical and administrative value to the college. (We do not collect financial, admissions or personnel records. These stay with the departments that created them.) The Archives also has collected approximately 600 oral history papers and audio and video tapes documenting St. Bernard Parish history by NCC students in history, English and speech classes. 糖心动漫vlog Community College Library Archives have approximately 200 feet of linear material.
Donations that fit the mission of the archives are accepted with the understanding that the library will choose whether or not to add the items to the collection. Items not added to the collection will be returned to the donor. Please see the donor form (available at the circulation desk) for more information. A letter of acknowledgement is given for donations, however, in accordance with Internal Revenue Service regulations, no monetary value can be assigned by the library.
The college’s own historical records represent by far the repository’s largest unpublished collection. Our second floor, climate-controlled archive vault includes press clippings, photographic files, publications and scrapbooks from 糖心动漫vlog Community College and our predecessor, St. Bernard Community College. There are also videos made by the college of special events, the 糖心动漫vlog History Lecture Series as well as oral history audio tapes and transcriptions made by students of various history and English classes.
The Frank Fernandez Collection has a comprehensive index, with over 50,000 entries. The other materials have been listed in a bound finding aid. There is a limited subject list and a comprehensive item list of materials in the archives for both the college collection as well as the special collections. These finding aids are available at the circulation desk of the library.
In addition to the college materials, the Archives contain historical material donated from individuals including former Bernard Parish historians and other civil leaders as well as civic and social organizations of St. Bernard Parish.
Highlights of Special Collections Include:
- Los Isl岷絥os Heritage and Culture Society Collection. This collection includes ninety-six oral history videotapes containing interviews by Frank Fernandez with Canary Island or Islenos descendants, conducted in Canarian Spanish; twelve oral history audiotapes of Islenos prepared in the 1970s; two 16 mm Spanish language films about the Canary Islands produced by the Canarian government. This along with the Frank Fernandez Collection form the heart of the Archives’ holdings.
- Frank Fernandez collection. Mr. Fernandez was historian of St. Bernard Parish. His collection includes personal papers, maps, newspaper and magazine articles, program, and copies of historical materials; also, the 1880-1929 minutes of the St. Bernard Police Jury; and several books written in Spanish about the early parishioners of St. Bernard, i.e. Language of the Islenos by John Lipski and Mississippi Delta Ethnographic Overview; and History of the Islenos by Gilbert Dan.
- Jeanne Taconi Collection. This collection includes newspaper and magazine clippings describing historic home, plantations, and buildings throughout Louisiana, including several in St. Bernard parish.
- Anthony Fernandez, Jr. Collection. This includes mainly large photographic reproductions from the National Archives of plans including blueprints relating to Fort Proctor, Battery Bienvenue, and Tower Dupre.
- Irvan and Louise Perez Collection. This includes a videotape of Mosquitoes and High Water, with Mr. Perez narrating and performing his decimas and an audiotape of Spanish Decimas from St. Bernard parish, with singing and narration by Mr. Perez.
- Bernard Treadaway Collection. This collection includes St. Bernard Historical Society Newsletters (1968-1983) and file folders on assorted topics in St. Bernard’s history, such as Shell Beach during WWII, prehistoric St. Bernard, plantation histories, forts, railroads and ruins. The collection also includes maps, photographs, newspaper articles, essays, and photocopies of previously published but hard-to-find materials.
- Jackson L. Molaison Collection. This is a diverse collection of materials including copies of historical documents, such as the letter from Andrew Jackson to Col. Manusell White; photocopy of a 1912 publication, St. Maurice Church Fair; material on St. Joseph’s convent, Corinne Plantation, early 1900s postcards and carnival memorabilia.
- Dennis Kaz Collection. This includes an 1870 handbill from the Dorian-Picayune, videotapes of Hurricane Andrew in St. Bernard Parish and carnival memorabilia including St. Bernard Parish krewes.
