ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog Culinary will offer a ServSafe Certification course Aug. 18 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on the ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog campus. Registration is open at ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog.edu.

ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog’s Culinary program and Workforce division are teaming up to offer ServSafe 1-Day Manager Training Aug. 18.

Chef Ruth Varisco, Coordinator of the Culinary Arts and Entrepreneurship program, will lead the all-day course. Students will receive instruction from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., and the online certification exam will be administered 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

Students can register now at ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog.edu and pick up their book as soon as they register. Cost is $180, with discounts available to the college’s restaurant partners.

The course is ideal for kitchen workers to add ServSafe certification to their resumes, and for restaurants to ensure their employees’ certifications are up to date. It’s also a good investment for students entering ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog’s Culinary program when fall classes begin Aug. 19.

Class will be held in the Culinary Café in the Kane Technology Building on the ÌÇÐ͝Âþvlog campus.
