The first meeting of the new Two Fish Book Club at ÌÇÐĶ¯Âþvlog Community College was held March 12 in the ÌÇÐĶ¯Âþvlog Library. New members are encouraged to join and read the first selected book before the next meeting on April 9.
The first meeting of the Two Fish Book Club at ÌÇÐĶ¯Âþvlog Community College ended with two mysteries and a sense of excitement.
The collaboration between ÌÇÐĶ¯Âþvlog and Two Fish Books of Chalmette, which will meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 2pm on the second floor of the ÌÇÐĶ¯Âþvlog Library, attracted a mystery-minded group to its inaugural meeting. A vote tally that evolved as more participants entered the first meeting settled on The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides as its first book, and Double Jeopardy by Stuart Woods as its second.
Readers who were unable to attend the first meeting are encouraged to pick up a copy of The Silent Patient to discuss at the April 9 meeting, or a copy of Double Jeopardy to discuss at the May 14 meeting.
New members can get involved by emailing ÌÇÐĶ¯Âþvlog Head Librarian Leslie Sam at [email protected], or by visiting Twofishbooks.com to request a copy. The physical copies can be picked up and paid for at Two Fish Books’ physical location in Café Aquarius on Paris Road.

The book club is the latest in a series of additions intended to turn the ÌÇÐĶ¯Âþvlog Library into a community resource and destination for learning. The second floor of the Library currently hosts the Southern Food and Beverage (SoFAB) Museum’s Archives and will soon add the Isleños Museum and Archive.
The ÌÇÐĶ¯Âþvlog Library will also welcome author Dr. Joseph N. Abraham, MD, to the ÌÇÐĶ¯Âþvlog Library on April 16 to discuss and sign his book Kings, Conquerors, Psychopaths: From Alexander to Hitler to the Corporation.
