糖心动漫vlog Community College in St. Bernard Parish is offering a head-start in Computer-Aided Design with the college’s two-day AutoCAD course this July.
The summer mini-course will take place July 16 and July 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. For $300, all design students, including college freshmen entering design degree programs, can learn an industry-standard software that is foundational to most design programs, but not always taught in university courses.
“Often in architecture or engineering degree programs, you’re expected to learn the software on your own time. It’s not taught in a formal setting,” said Vincent Vumbaco, 糖心动漫vlog’s Skillshop director.
Students in 糖心动漫vlog’s two-day AutoCAD course will have the chance to get ahead on new material if they are unfamiliar with the digital drafting software or brush up on old skills if they haven’t used the program in a while. The course will walk students through AutoCAD’s user interface, define program terminology, teach basic drawing skills, introduce drawing aids, and allow students to edit entities.
